On My Wishlist (4)

On My Wishlist è una rubrica settimana ideata da Book Chick City
Ogni sabato posterò una lista dei libri che voglio disperatamente leggere, ma che ancora purtroppo non posseggo.

Ecco la mia lista di questa settimana:

The Girl Who Became a Beatle by Greg Taylor. I Beatles sono uno dei miei gruppi preferiti, non posso perdermi un YA su di loro.

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah!

When Regina Bloomsbury’s band, the Caverns, breaks up, she thinks it’s all over. And then she makes a wish:
“I wish I could be as famous as the Beatles.”
The Beatles are her music idols. The next day, she gets up to find that the Caverns are not just as famous as the Beatles, they have replaced them in history! Regina is living like a rock star, and loving it. There are talk shows, music videos, and live concerts with thousands of screaming fans. And Regina is the star of it all.  But fame is getting the better of Regina, and she has a decision to make. Does she want to replace the Beatles forever? Here is a rocking novel about the good and the bad of Hollywood, fame, and rock ’n roll.

"I listen to all kinds of music, but let's face it, the Beatles are special. They're in a class all their own."

Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion.  Sono mesi che muoio dalla voglia di leggere la storia di R, lo zombie innamorato. Devo avere questo libro.

R is a young man with an existential crisis – he is a zombie. He shuffles through an America destroyed by war, social collapse, and the mindless hunger of his undead comrades, but he craves something more than blood and brains. He can speak just a few grunted syllables, but his inner life is deep, full of wonder and longing. He has no memories, noidentity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. After experiencing a teenage boy’s memories while consuming his brain, R makes an unexpected choice that begins a tense, awkward, and strangely sweet relationship with the victim’s human girlfriend. Julie is a blast of color in the otherwise dreary and gray landscape that surrounds R. His decision to protect her will transform not only R, but his fellow Dead, and perhaps their whole lifeless world.

E questa settimana cosa c'è nella vostra Wishlist?
